Dorothy Anna Pilling, 75, of Roseville, PA, passed away September 3, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1935 in Estelle Manor, NJ, the daughter of John & Dorothy Curley Madara. Dorothy was a teacher, lifelong member of the Grange & the Eastern Star. She attended Millerton United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and loved books. She and husband Frank, lived a nomadic lifestlye between Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, New York & Virginia, where Frank was the original “house flipper.” Dorothy loved her family and adored all of her grandchildren. Her positive spirit effected everyone around her. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Franklin S. Pilling Jr. 2 daughters & a son-in-law, Kathy (Mark) Pilling-Whitney of Tioga, PA, Barbara Pilling of Carneys Point, NJ, 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Franklin S. III (Lisa) Pilling of Roseville, PA, John (Denise) Pilling of Haines City, FL, Carl (Bonnie) Pilling of Portville, NY, a brother, Elmer Madara of Berlin, NJ, 8 grandchildren, & 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Anthony Pilling. Friends are invited to call at the Gary W. Wilston Funeral Home & Cremation Service 130 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA, Tuesday 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jennifer Wolf officiating. Burial in Roseville Cemetery.
