Sidney A. Powlison, 92, of Roseville, PA, passed away July 29, 2006 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, Pa. He was born August 15, 1913 in Wellsboro, the son of Sidney & Bess Spencer Powlison. Sid was the retired manager of Dunham’s Hardware, Wellsboro, and a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church, and the Blossburg VFW. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former, Marion Benson, 4 sons & daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Barbara of Mansfield, PA, James & Michele of Millerton, PA, Richard & Brenda of Covington, PA, Arthur of Mansfield, PA, 10 grandchildren, & 7 great grandchildren. Clifford Palmer, 89, of Covington, PA, October 22, 2002 at Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro, PA. He was born December 27, 1912 in Alba, PA, the son of Melvin & Jenny Joralemon Palmer. Clifford was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran. He was the owner of a nursery business in the Harrisburg area prior to retirement. Clifford was a member of the Covington Church of Christ. Surviving are a son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Elissa Palmer of Altoona, PA, a grand daughter, several cousins, and a sister-in-law, Beulah Palmer of Mansfield, PA. Marian B. Powlison, 91, of Roseville, PA, was called home to be with the Lord January 19, 2009 at Bradford County Manor. She was born June 20, 1917, in Elmira, NY, the only child of Jerome & Mary Sweely Benson. Marian was employed as a beautician, and retired from the Warren L. Miller School cafeteria. Marian was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church. Ross H. Pino, 85, of Covington, PA, passed away October 3, 2009 at home. He was born December 9, 1923 in Mansfield, PA, the son of Ross Sr. and Lena Howe Pino. Ross retired after 35 years service from Corning Glass Works. In 1961, Ross was one of the founders of the Tioga County Early Days, since he enjoyed working with his draft horses. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Myra Pino of Covington, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Lance Swank of Phelps, NY; a stepson, Walter Warren of Tioga, PA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dorothy Anna Pilling, 75, of Roseville, PA, passed away September 3, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1935 in Estelle Manor, NJ, the daughter of John & Dorothy Curley Madara. Dorothy was a teacher, lifelong member of the Grange & the Eastern Star. She attended Millerton United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and loved books. She and husband Frank, lived a nomadic lifestlye between Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, New York & Virginia, where Frank was the original “house flipper.” Dorothy loved her family and adored all of her grandchildren. Her positive spirit effected everyone around her. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Franklin S. Pilling Jr. 2 daughters & a son-in-law, Kathy (Mark) Pilling-Whitney of Tioga, PA, Barbara Pilling of Carneys Point, NJ, 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Franklin S.
